Smart Fill is an AI-powered feature designed to simplify contract management by reducing the need for manual and repetitive tasks. It works by automatically identifying, extracting, and populating essential contract terms—such as start dates, renewal clauses, and other custom fields. This helps streamline your workflow, saving time and minimizing errors when managing your contracts.
How to Set It Up
Step 1: Enable AI for Your Account
Navigate to Settings.
In the AI section, enable the AI functionality for your account.
Step 2: Configure Smart Fill for Contract Fields
Go to Contract Settings (found under Resources) and select the fields you want Smart Fill to populate.
Access the Smart Fill Settings for each field and:
Enable Smart Fill.
Specify which uploaded file should be used to extract data.
Add any additional instructions to guide Smart Fill’s process and ensure to save all these changes.
Step 3: Add a new Contract
Navigate to the Contracts section, click on 'Options,' and select '+Add a Contract'.
Step 4: Upload a Contract file and let Smart Fill do the work
Name the contract and upload the file that the Smart Fill should use as the source for extracting data.
After uploading Smart Fill will automatically populate the selected fields.
If a field remains empty, it means, the contract didn’t contain the required information or AI was missing specific instructions.
Successfully filled fields will highlight the section in the contract where the data was extracted.
